Vitner's Red kicks
off with cedar wood and spice on the nose and follows through with cassis and
blueberry on the palate. This medium-bodied wine is juicy and lingering with a
long finish. It can be enjoyed on any occasion. Composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet
Franc and Pinotage.
|
Blanc De Mer is a kaleidoscope of flavors with citrus blossom bouquets,
dominated on the palate by powerful tropical flinty peach tastes with a hint of
honey. The wine is rich and inviting. The finish is not quite dry but the
palate does finish with excellent length. Served well chilled, it is ideal with
oysters, salmon and fresh line fish. Composed of Rhine Riesling, Viognier, Sauvignon
Blanc and Chenin Blanc.
|
This is a rich fruity wine with the nose
aromatically scented with exciting whiffs of truffles and fruits of the forest. The wine is full with
soft tannins, which ensure many years of positive development. Pinot
Noir is the most food flexible varietal. Its richness comes from a multitude of
layers of flavor. Enjoy with fish, poultry, game birds, and red meats.

This wine "painting" is two thirds Italian and one third French. It is
said that the essence and soul of Italian wine is in its local or regional
grape varieties. The excitement of the Hannibal blend lies in the indulgence of
pitching these grape varieties together. It's these "taste colors" which
allow for Hannibal to be different and individually unique. Full, ripe wild berry and meaty
flavors. Long confident mouth feel with plenty of aging potential enhanced
by excellent French oak barrel ageing (sixteen months). Composed of Sangiovese, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Nebbiolo,
Mourvedre and Barbera.
|
This
is an intensely focused wine of near perfect balance. It is fresh,
marginally oaked for six months with an almost white peachy crispness, mixed
with a complex yeasty orchestration of flavors. It ends with a tang of
richness which lasts a full minute on the palate. With time it will
slowly become even more interesting as its nuttiness and complexity continues
to develop.
|
This Sauvignon Blanc is more tropical than grassy and more delicate than overpowering; pure
fruit tones and good balance. Clean gooseberry aromas with a touch of smoke and
mineral character. Acidity in harmony with good strong mouth feel, fresh
and enticing. More body than in previous vintages and its palate cleansing
freshness lends itself to a range of fish and seafood dishes.

Shimmering
with black berry and cherry flavors, Hartenberg's 2004 vintage is renowned for
its full-bodied and complex richness. "Soft and delicious, the king of red
wine. Cloaks the fine-grained tannin structure with shimmering berry fruit,
crystallized violets, cedar spicing. Accessible, no hard edges, but the tannins
are deeply veined, built for a 10+yr life."
|
Peppery
and spicy with rich berry aromas. The wine has richness and elegant fruit
flavors; the fruit/oak balance is stylish; it is full of flavor and vigor and
has a soft, smooth and silky "drink me" finish with good structure, roundness,
presence, balance and length. "Designed to please, and does, with smoky, plummy
styling and smoothly rounded body." Composed of 47%
Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Shiraz, and 19% Merlot.
|
The
spicy richness on the nose gives way to a taut yet floral and fruity mid-palate
that has both richness and complexity. The sugar is barely noticeable and
contributes extra fullness and richness to the palate. This is a quality wine
that offers great value and much versatility. "Impressive 2006 abounds with
aromatic charm, pineapple, honeysuckle, tantalizing spicy notes. Off-dry but
signature balancing acidity, elegance and length make it irresistibly
delicious." Subtly sweet
pineapple and honeysuckle in the mouth, underlined by a hint of soft citrus.
This incredibly versatile food wine has a cult following in South Africa.

The nose has a combination of citrus
blossoms, lime, granadilla, a bit of grassiness with a touch of flintiness. The
palate is crisp and dry with a round finish and lingering aftertaste. This wine will go extremely well with summer
salads, grilled fish and chicken dishes, asparagus and other light dishes. Composed of 65% Sauvignon Blanc and 35% Chenin Blanc.
|
Morgenhof Chardonnay is a lighter, more fruit
driven style. The color is yellow with a green edge. The nose is dominantly
lime, peach and floral blossom flavors with a slight presence of wood. The
palate is fresh, crisp and fruit driven with a waxy mouth feel and soft wood at
the end. This wine should be enjoyed
with fillet, rich chicken dishes, calamari, fried fish, crayfish dishes, and
creamy soups. This will also be a good choice with a salad or other lighter
meals.
|
Morgenhof Chenin Blanc is a lovely
greenish-yellow color. On the nose the aromas are a combination of honey
blossoms, dried apricots, peaches and lime with a good wood integration. The
palate is full-bodied and complex with a good balance of acidity. The flavors
on the nose follow well through on the palate.
This wine goes well with red meat, poultry, curries, salads, or any form
of fish. You can also enjoy as a pre-dinner drink.
